World weightlifting records and facts

Did you know China holds the most Olympic Medals in female weightlifting? China also has the most active records of any country.

Since 2000, Belarus and Turkey have 5 medals each achieving the most Olympic medals in male weightlifting.

In 2004, Gene Rychlak (USA) became the first man to press over 1000lbs!
